Konark Residency

Akela

THE Maharashtra Urban Development Department has ordered to Ulhasnagar Municipal Commissioner (UMC) Rajendra Nimbalkar to stop work of Konark Residency, a plush but illegal complex in Ulhasnagar city. The government has also ordered commissioner to initiate an enquiry against UMC officials who are responsible for passing the plan of this illegal project.

On November 21, 2017 government issued an order to Ulhasnagar commissioner in this regard. An order copy is available with ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation). According to government order on November 2, 2017 and November 16, 2017 Deputy Chairman and Legislative Council held two meetings at Mantralaya over illegalities of Konark Residency. The members found project is illegal as under:-

1- In 2007, the UMC officials illegally approved the building plan on industrial plot. There was no law which allows conversion of ‘Industrial’ to ‘Residential’ in 2007.

2- The real land owner Bhagwandas Tolani died few years back but builder produced owner’s power of attorney to develop the land in UMC. UMC officials approved the plan on basis of power of attorney and that was on Rs 50 stamp paper only.

3- During approval the plan builder did not pay tax to government.

4- As per corporation act builder not gave amenity space and also 5% apartment to corporation/ state government.

5- Put the hoarding in front of the building announcing building is illegal for the knowledge of public.

6- The said plot comes under ULC act but UMC officials not followed ULC act during approval the plan.

7- Most important, government accepted that UMC officials illegally approved the plan. Identify responsible officials and initiate enquiry against them.

ABI’s Exposure :-
Remember, this is ABI (abinet.org) who first exposed illegalities of Konark residency and involvement of UMC officials. See ABI news:

1- On January 23, 2016: UMC so very kind to Konark builder that it clears files in just five days.

2- On February 7, 2016: Konark builder constructs Konark Residency on basis of nothing but Rs 50 power of attorney.

3- On February 10, 2016: ‘Cheat’ Accounts Officer of UMC ignores orders to cut salary of absent staff, releases Rs 12 crore to Konark Company illegally.

4- On February 16, 2016: Konark Residency comes up without Fire, Land and Labour Commissioner’s NOCs.

Konark group of companies is developing its project (CTS No-1700, 1701. Plot No-3, 4. Sheet No- 97) by name Konark Residency near Shahad railway station, Ulhasnagar-1. As per documents available with ABI the project is 100 percent illegal.

NOTE: read soon how UMC commissioner Rajendra Nimbalkar favours Konark builder and ignores government instruction.
