THE Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Nasik has arrested Manoj Shrivastav, Group Captain, Air Force Station, Devalali, Nasik for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a civil contractor Hitesh Babria.
The complainant Babria alleged that the Shrivastav had demanded bribe from him for handing over construction site. CBI registered a case and after verification of complaint, laid a trap. Shrivastav was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.50, 000. Searches were conducted at the residential and office premises of accused and incriminating documents were recovered.
“The arrested accused was produced on Saturday before the competent court at Nasik. Further investigation is going on,” said a top CBI officer to ABI.
