A court in Bengaluru on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against Union Railway Minister D V Sadanand Gowda’s son Karthik Gowda. Karthik is an accused for raping and cheating to a model and actress Mythriya Gowda.
According to media reports, Mythriya Gowda on Wednesday night registered an FIR against Karthik Gowda with RT Nagar police in Bengaluru accusing him of committing the offences of rape and cheating. Mythriya Gowda claimed that Karthik had secretly married her and then ditched her for another woman. She alleged that Karthik had married her in Mangalore on June 5 in the presence of his car driver and friends which eventually turned into love.
Mythriya registered FIR on the day Karthik Gowda got engaged to another woman on August 27 in Kushal Nagar, Kodagu in the presence of his family.
On last Friday police went to Gowda’s Sanjay Nagar house and served a notice to Karthik asking him to appear before Investigation Officer for questioning but police found that no family member was present.
Karthik Gowda filed an anticipatory bail application before the City Civil and Sessions court on Saturday.
