THE District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (DCRF) in Shamli district,

Uttar Pradesh has fined a postmaster for failing to deliver a money order on time. A man has sent money order to his sister on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

According to complainant A K Singhal he had sent the money order to his sister in Delhi last year but she did not receive the order on time. As per rule the money order has to be reached in 30 days. Following he approached DCRF.

On September 8, 2016 S K Yadav, Chairman, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum passed this order against the postmaster of Shamli district. DCRF has directed postmaster to pay Rs 17,000 as fine. Postmaster was failed to deliver money order to woman on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan
