A rape victim from Thane has registered second complaint at Vartak Nagar Police Station against Ashwini Dhumal, a self proclaimed and bogus Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader from Kalyan. Ashwini and her husband Manoj are based in Kalyan and Panvel as builders and have a reputation of often cheating others.
On 30th May 2018, Priya Jadhav (name changed to protect identity) registered a NC (Copy available with ABI) in Vartak Nagar police station at Thane. Ashwini Dhumal allegedly abused her on mobile phone, using filthy abusive language. She was also threatened with dire consequences. Earlier on 19th December 2017, Priya had registered a NC at Vartak Nagar police station against Ashwini Dhumal for abusing and threatening her.
Ashwini Dhumal, a resident of Sonal Apartment, F Cabin road, Kalyan (East) claims that she is the President of Rashtravadi Yuvati Congress. However on 13th September 2017, State President Smita Patil announced through a written communication (Copy available with ABI) that Ashwini Dhumal has no association with NCP and that the Party has never issued any appointment letter to her. Top NCP leader Supriya Sule also claimed and confirmed that Ashwini Dhumal was not attached with NCP.
In September 2017, Priya has registered FIR against Daya Gaikwad for raping her on different occasions on pretext of marriage. However Daya Gaikwad succeeded in getting anticipatory bail. Daya Gaikwad is BJP councilor from ward no 5, Gauripada, Kalyan (West) and also ex-chairman of Education Committee in KDMC.
Police has also registered FIR against Ashwini Dhumal and her husband Manoj Dhumal for helping Daya Gaikwad. Dhumals rushed to his rescue by allegedly forging text messages and projecting Priya as a blackmailer.
Ashwini and Manoj Dhumal have cheated several people by constructing fake and illegal chawls in Kalyan and Panvel.
