THE Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court at Ulhasnagar in Thane district has directed that police register an FIR (First Information Report) under relevant sections for cheating and forgery against Meena Jadhav, who happens to be the wife of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nagesh Sabhaji Jadhav, posted with Mumbai police in South Mumbai.
On December 2, 2019, the honourable court directed the Ambarnath police in Thane district to register an FIR under sections 420 (Cheating), 465 (Forgery) and 471 (Whoever fraudulently or dishonestly uses as genuine any document which he knows or has reason to believe to be a forged document) of IPC against Meena Jadhav observing that the Ambarnath police had failed to take cognizance into the matter. Meena Jadhav runs Siddharth College and School under Namita Education Welfare Society at village-Chargaon, Boradpada, Badlapur (West) in Thane district, Maharashtra on 3.75 acres forest land. She applied for another 70 guntha land for measurement in land survey office in November 2018. As per the rules, land surveyor demands and consent letter is necessary of existing plot owners. The land surveyor office has to intimate plot owners about the measurement. Plot owners Dattatray Chaudhari and Dhriti Chaudhari were not given any such intimation. They were also informed that Meena Jadhav had forged their signature and submitted fake consent letter in their names. Dattatray Chaudhari promptly submitted an objection letter to the Land Survey Office on October 10, 2018. During survey on the plot, Dattatray Chaudhary raised objection and asked the department to stop the survey as Meena Jadhav had submitted his fake consent letter. Therefore, land surveyor officials stopped the survey/measurement work at that time. They also made a panchnama duly recording the sequence of events and Dattatray’s objections.
After getting documents Dattatray Chaudhari complained to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and as well as Ambarnath police. Ambarnath police not co-operated Dattatray Chaudhari and failed to take action against Meena Jadhav.
Left with no other options, Dattatray Chaudhari approached JMFC court, Ulhasnagar during last week. After looking into the matter, court ordered the police to register an FIR (MECR) against Meena Jadhav.
“After enquiry few person’s name will be added as accused into the matter,” said Dattatray Chaudhari.
