DID Arvind Kejriwal lie again? This time about availability of flights from Jaipur to Delhi.
There was a huge controversy over former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal’s travel by a private chartered plane from Jaipur to Delhi. He clarified through a tweet that since there were no regular flights from Jaipur to Delhi, India Today group chartered a plane to ensure that he reached Delhi on time. However his claim of there being no regular flights is incorrect.
A cursory search on a couple of popular travel websites showed atleast two flights departing from Jaipur for Delhi around the same time Arvind Kejriwal started from Jaipur. Here is the screen shot of one of the site :
The flight departed at 7.00 PM and reached New Delhi at 7.50 PM. He could have opted for the flight instead of a private chartered plane.
Arvind Kejriwal had been caught blatantly lying even in the past. His claim about a report of ‘less corruption’ in Delhi while he was the Chief Minister was trashed by Transparency International. Now once again he has been caught on wrong foot. This should provide his distractors some more ammunition to target him over his projected ‘honest’ and ‘clean’ image.
