A woman Additional District and Sessions Judge in Gwalior has accused on a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court of sexual harassment. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was Monday filed in the Supreme Court seeking action on accused Judge.

The woman Judge has quit her job.

The woman judge has written to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) explaining the reasons that forced her to resign from judicial service.  The woman Judge has explained in letter that how the Gwalior bench of the High Court of seeking sexual favours from her. In her two pages letter to CJI, narrates a number of instances in which she was the subject of the judge’s “foul and malicious intentions”.

She also referred to the alleged harassment by three judicial officers on the orders of the high court judge.
However accused Judge has rejected all allegations made by the woman judge. He also on Monday wrote letter to Chief Justice R M Lodha offering to face any probe by any (CBI) agency including an investigating agency. He said if any allegation against him is found true he is ready to face any penalty, even the death penalty.

A PIL was on Monday also filed in the Supreme Court seeking lodging of an FIR and judicial inquiry in to the matter.
