AMID the protest by students of Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) in Delhi against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill – now CAA, students from IIT Bombay and Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) came out to protest against the same. 

The students here on Monday highlighted the police brutalities committed against protestors at Jamia Milia Islamia university campus. Moreover, the police reportedly created havoc in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as well where the students have opposed the new citizenship law. 

On Sunday, the protest by Jamia students turned violent after police used tear gas and carried out ‘lathicharge’ in Delhi. As per the reports, the agitation turned violence as public properties were damaged. 

The students from IIT Bombay carried out a peaceful march on Sunday night with candles in their hand against Delhi Police. On the other hand, TISS students highlighted the plight of students in AMU and JMI. 

The protesting students in Mumbai say that Delhi Police entered the JMI campus and beat up several students.
