BP Raju, Dy. SP, CBI, New Delhi has been awarded the “India Cyber Cop of the Year 2019” by NASSCOM-DSCI during the Annual Information Security Summit held at Gurugram, Haryana. The award was given by Ajay Prakash Sawhney, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
Raju had investigated a case exposing the fraud in an online Entrance Examination. The investigation team headed by BP Raju, arrested 9 accused persons and collected incriminating evidence from digital devices, which revealed the modus operandi adopted by the accused. The investigation was also completed within a stipulated period.
