THE first “Hindu Court” in the country has been set up by Members of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, as announced by them on Wednesday. This “Hindu Court” has been set up on the lines of Sharia Courts, with a goal to exclusively make decisions on Hindu affairs and issues. Sharia Courts (Darul Qaza) resolve disputes and issues in accordance with Islamic laws. The Judge for this Hindu Court was appointed in a ceremony held at the Party’s office in Meerut, UP.

The National Vice President of the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, also the head of the five-member Sangrakshak Mandal of the Hindu Court, has stated that the Party had challenged the establishment of the Sharia Courts as there should be one Constitution for all. Since there was no action taken in favour of this, a Hindu Court has been set up by them.
The bylaws of the Court are planned to be declared on October 2 by the members of the outfit. A total of five judges are also to be appointed in different parts of India on November 15. The National Secretary of the Mahasabha who has been appointed as the first judge of this Hindu Court has stated that matters related to Hindus – ranging from harassment of Hindu women, property and money disputes, Hindu marriages, will be dealt with. She says that proper jails will be set up and the maximum punishment will be death.

The outfit’s district president has said that the civil courts have lakhs of pending cases and since it gets difficult to get justice for a poor person, the Hindu Court will enable people to get “quick and affordable justice”.
