INDONESIAN Naval Ship KRI Frans Kaisiepo, visited to Kochi from 06 to 08 Dec 14. The ship, KRI Frans Kaisiepo, a Corvette, is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel (Navy) Ade Nanno Suward.

Col (Navy) Arif Harnanto, the Indonesian resident Defence Attache at New Delhi is also in Kochi in connection with the ship’s visit. On 08 Dec 14, Indonesian resident DA and the Commanding Officers of the visiting Indonesian Naval ships called on the Rear Admiral AK Jain, VSM, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command. During the visit, professional interactions were held at various training institutions of the Southern Naval Comand . Exchange of visits by specialist officers and men from both the navies were also held as part of the interaction.

The ships had last visited Karachi, Pakistan prior arriving Kochi and are scheduled to visit Belawan, Indonesia. The foreign naval ship departed from Kochi in the evening of December 8, 2014.
