On Dec 13, 2016, ABI had reported that BJP Councillor Jaya Makhija’s husband who happens to be BJP’s State Committee member Prakash Makhija stole the Sewerage Project Fike from UMC for the benefit of Konark Infrastructure Ltd Company. The incident was captured on CCTV where BJP Councillor & Building Contractor Pratap Ramchandani was stealing the file from PWD department of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation
