THE Colaba police in South Mumbai has registered a first information report (FIR) of THEFT against Jairam Palav, owner of M/S Jai Electronics. Along with Jairam Palav, wireman of ACN Fibre company Amir Sayyed, has been also booked under same charges. Jairam Palav and Amir Sayyed allegedly stole instruments of cable and internet to capture the ongoing business of one Masood Khan.

On May 24, 2019 Colaba police registered FIR (No-76/2019) under sections 427 and 379 of IPC against Jairam Palav and Amir Sayyed on receiving complaint from Masood Khan.

According to FIR (copy with ABI) Masood Khan (49) is a resident of sector 9A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. He is the authorized distributor of Rail-9A Tel Corporation of India Pvt. Ltd. (Govt. undertaking) and Siti Cable, MCPL Pvt. Ltd. Khan runs this business of providing cable connections at Railway Colony, Budhwar Park, Colaba, Mantralaya, Bombay High Court and other parts of South Mumbai.

On May 5, 2019 around 5PM Jairam Palav and Amir Khan entered Budhwar Park, Railway colony and stole a Node and 4 way Coupler and also cut and destroyed the fibre of “A” block building. This caused disconnection of cable line of Mantralaya and Bombay High Court. All the fibres are interconnected and this caused a lot of inconvenience and severe loss to Masood Khan’s firm and business. There was a severe loss to the reputation of the company as well. Due to the above robbery Khan’s office faced ire of the customers and received several complaints of disruption and damage and it took a lot of effort to attend to the complaints. The Budhwar Park is sensitive colony as many prominent personalities like IPS, IAS, Judges and railway officers live here.

After it was CONFIRMED that Jairam Palav and Amir Sayyed had committed the said crime, on second day (May 6) Masood Khan approached Colaba police station to register FIR against them. Khan produced CCTV footage of the suspects entering the colony.

Surprisingly, on second day Masood Khan received a call from another cable businessman who suggested that Khan stop pressuring the police to register a FIR against Palav. The businessman promised that Palav will not steal anything from now on. After investigation police registered FIR against Jairam Palav and Amir Sayyed.

“Jairam Palav is trying to disrupt my business at Budhwar Park, Colaba from day one. I have filed complaints on 11/09/2014/, 14/10/2014/ and 06/05/2019 against him,” said Masood.

“An FIR has been registered against Jairam Palav at Azad Maidan police station in a very serious offences. He has obtained anticipatory bail vide application No 1884 of 2013,” added Masood.
