THE ‘Jolly LLB’ fame filmmaker Subhash Kapoor was arrested by the Varsova Police on Monday for allegedly molesting an aspiring actress Geetika Tyagi. Kapoor was produced before the Andheri court where judge remanded him judicial custody for 14 days.
“We have booked Kapoor under sections 354 (outraging a woman`s modesty), 354-A (sexual harassment), 354-B (attempting to disrobe a woman) and 501 (defamation) on IPC,” said an officer of Versoa police station. One of his friends Danish Raja was also arrested under section 501 of IPC. The both accused were released on Rs 10,000 bail bond, each.
Police sources said Tyagi had filed a complaint against Kapoor in Versoa police station few months back. She had alleged that Kapoor had tried to rape her two years back.
Tyagi, had also used a video on a social networking platform to accuse Kapoor of “forcing himself” on her and “dragging her” during a party held.
