THE officers with Mahatma Fule Chowk (MFC) police station in Kalyan (West) seems to have taken an oath of not to take lesson from its past mistakes. They recently falsely booked TIMES OF INDIA’s manager for molestation and wrote FIR like Chuff.
ABI’s previous expose
On January 6, 2017 ABI published, “POLICE-POLICE MAUSERE BHAI: MFC police registered a MISSING FIR in a clear case of DACOITY.”
On January 26, 2017 ABI published, “Auto rickshaw driver tries to set woman on fire, but MFC police show no interest in going after him.”
On February 8, 2017 ABI published, “JOKE OF THE DAY: MFC police book millionaire businessman for stealing own materials worth Rs 5,000.”
On March 26, 2017 ABI published, “YE INSPECTOR SHAHAR KE LIYE HANIKARAK HAI: MFC police refuses to take complaint against developer that has foreclosure on shopping mall.”
However, the above mentioned articles could not shame MFC police officers as well as Senior Inspector Anil Powar.
Latest: MFC police cannot write a proper FIR
On December 9, 2016 there was fight between two family members. Police first registered cross NCs against each other. The both families are residents of Vijay Bagh Complex, Narmada building, Kalyan (West).
1- In same matter, on February 10, 2017 MFC police registered FIR (No-II- 8/2017 under sections 509, and 34 of IPC) against Nikhil Doiphode and Siddhu Bedekar on complaint of a 19-year-old girl. The girl alleged that on that day at 8.15 pm when she was entering her residential complex Bedekar made round around her on bicycle and Nikhil was laughing sitting at a distance.
2- They were acting so with PURPOSE of molestation.
3- Police recorded girl’s statement on February 9, 2017 and registered FIR on February 10, 2017. Here is one more mistake. They wrote 2016 instead of 2017.
4- MFC police submitted an application in court to record additional statement of girl under section 164 of CrPC.
5- MFC police again recorded statement of the girl in which she changed the statement. She added that there were four other boys on the spot. She alleged that Nikhil pressed her breast and Bedekar pushed her by holding her shoulder.
6- On February 28, 2017 MFC police submitted an application in court to add sections 143, 147, 149, 341, 354, 504 and 506 of IPC.
7- Later Swapnil Doiphode was also made as accused into the matter. As per documents available with ABI (abinet.org) Swapnil works with TIMES OF INDIA as Program Manager. On incident day he left CST office at 8.37 pm but girl alleged he molested her at 8.30 pm at Kalyan.
8- The girl’s family is jealous about Doiphode family as they are government employee. Nikhil Doiphode’s father Pandurang Doiphode works as Section Engineer with state government. Mother Pratibha Doiphode is also a government employee in Pune. When Pratibha tried to tell that she and her husband are government employee Inspector B G Roham got angry. Roham ordered them to leave the police station premises immediately otherwise threatened to book a case against her.
9- An Air India employee Kavita Misal who lives in same complex, wrote a letter to police claiming the girl is lying. She is unnecessary framing Doiphode family. Six another residents also have signed the letter.
“Police have registered wrong FIR against Doiphode family. MFC police clearly favoured victim’s family. Victim and MFC police booked them as they are government servant. If arrested they will be suspended from service,” said Deepak Mishra, lawyer of Doiphode.
10- A retired policeman has played as an advisor to the girl’s family. He managed MFC police in registering molestation FIR against the Doiphodes.
