A 17-year-old boy who has been arrested by JJ Marg police for allegedly robbing an Italian national had fled a year ago from his Charkop home after he secured less marks in his school exam. The court has sent him to Dongri children remand home.

According to police sources, Robberto Frezzi (29) an Italian National had registered an FIR in the first week of March at JJ Marg police complaining that two men robbed him in the night when he was heading back to his Colaba Hotel room after having dinner at Bhendi Bazaar. They punched Frezzi on face and robbed Rs. 2000 cash, € 600 (Euros), three credit cards and the passport. Frezzi also had punched one robber on the face.

During investigation police started looking for a robber who had injury marks on the left side of his face. The police picked up a boy with an injury mark on his face. The suspect, who works with catering vendors, has confessed to rob the Italian national, an officer said.

Police tactfully interrogated him. The accused told that he is a resident Charkop in Kandivali and native of Dehradun. He had secured less marks in class IX and was upset about the same. He fled in April 2013. His family had lodged a missing person’s complaint at the Charkop police station.

After escaping from home he was living on footpath of Bhendi Bazaar. He has grown addiction for Ganja (cannabis).
