WORLD Homeless Day was celebrated at Kamathipura in Mumbai. RTI Activist Anil Galgali said that efforts are being made to provide permanent home to the homeless in the state. The positive role of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will lead to the ‘good days’ of the homeless.

World Homeless Day was celebrated at Kamathipura in Mumbai with the initiative of Brijesh Arya, President of the NGO Pehchan, who is also a member of Maharashtra State level Shelter Monitory Committee. Anil Galgali, who works for the homeless, said that the municipal administration of Mumbai has started work on construction of 125 shelters in Mumbai and the municipalities in the state are now positive for the homeless as the Chief Minister himself is positive.

President of the Pehchan, Brijesh Arya, said that the decision of the shelter committee is now being followed by Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has cooperated with it from time to time and the shelter committee is determined to give everyone a home. Lina Patil, Suhas Rokade, Shila Pawar, Anjali Satelia, Naseem Sheikh, Salma B, Vijay Gajbinkar were present on the occasion.
