Nagesh Jadhav encroaches forest land in Badlapur; claims he is not a “Aandu – Pandu” Havaldar, but South Mumbai’s ACP

“I am not a Aandu-Paandu Havaldar. I am South Mumbai’s ACP. Do you know the power of ACP? All Bhai’s and Dons in Nagpada salute me and are scared of my power and position. Nagesh Jadhav introduces himself and threatens people with the above words and forcefully encroaches on forest land in Badlapur in Thane District.

Nagesh Shambhaji Jadhav is an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and is currently posted in Tardeo division, Mumbai police. Vivek Chaudhari a resident of Ambernath and lawyer by profession has complained (copy available with ABI) to several authorities against Nagesh Jadhav for encroaching on forest land.

According to the complaint, Nagesh Jadhav encroached upon 3.75 acres of forest land located in village – Chargaon, Boradpada, Badlapur (West). Jadhav runs Namita education welfare society and Siddharth college & school on the land since 2015. Nagesh Jadhav’s wife Meena and his two brother-in-laws – Shrikant Lokhande and Gangadhar Lokhane – look after the day by day activities of the trust. The trust is also said to be illegal.

Vivek Chaudhari has his own plot near Nagesh Jadhav’s land. Nagesh Jadhav now wants to encroach on Vivek Chaudhari’s plot and nearby other plots as well. If anyone tries to carry out any kind of work on their own plot, Shrikant and Gangadhar Lokhande interfere in the matter. They openly threaten them and open give empty threats, often saying, “You don’t know who we are. We are brother-in-laws of Nagesh Jadhav. Without Nagesh Jadhav’s permission even leaves cannot move in Badlapur and Mumbai. Nagesh Jadhav has enough money. You sell your plot to him. You don’t know the power of ACP. He will frame you in any fake case.”

On several occasions, Vivek Chaudhari carried out small work on his plot. ‘Lokhande Brothers’ appeared there. They immediately called Nagesh Jadhav on the phone. Nagesh Jadhav threatened Vivek Chaudhari saying, “Hey vakeel main koi aandu-paandu havaldar nahin hoon. ACP hoon. Tujhe ACP ka power nahin maloom. Apni poori service maine Nagpada (South Mumbai) mein hi ki hai. Nagpada ke saare bhai mujhe salaam thonkte hain. Mere ek ishare par koi bhi bhai tujhe Badlapur jakar thonk dega. Ruling party ka MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha bhi mujhe salaam thonkta hai. Tu apna plot bhool ja aur mere naam likh de. Mere paas bahut paisa hai.”

“I have enough documents to prove that Nagesh Jadhav is running illegal trust on an encroached forest land. He is trying to encroach on my plot too. He threatened me several times and is trying to force me to sell my plot to him,” said Vivek Chaudhari.
