IF you think that one police station has done BANTA DHAAR and other is doing SUDHAAR then, mind you! You are totally mistaken. One can very easily say that the term ‘Police –Police Mausere Bhai’. ‘Testimony’ to the same is as below.

Readers may recall that, earlier ABI (abinet.org) had reported about the Kolsewadi police station in Kalyan (East) registering a missing FIR although it was clear case of robbery. On December 21, 2016 ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation) had published an article under headline, “Kolsewadi police files MISSING complaint in a clear case of ROBBERY.” A Kalyan based resident Dhiraj Mishra, had complained against the Kolsewadi police after they registered that his mobile phone was missing, although two robbers had robbed him.

Now, the Mahatma Phule station in Kalyan (West) has also followed the same path and have registered missing FIR in a clear case of dacoity. On December 29, 2016, the Mahatma Phule Station had registered FIR (No-487/2016), under sections 141, 143, 147, 148, 323, and 324 of IPC against eight unknown persons.

According to the FIR (copy with ABI), the complainant Madhushankar Varma (40 years), happens to be a resident of ‘Om Ganga Cooperative Housing Society’, Santoshi Mata Road, Kalyan (West), and is having a jewellery shop named ‘Laxmi Jewellers’, near F-cabin, Kalyan (East). On the day of the incident, at around 11.45 pm, Madhushankar Varma was on the way to home on motorcycle with his nephew Rahul Varma. While he reached Santoshi Mata Road, near ICICI bank, Kalyan (West), eight persons attacked him with iron road, wooden stick and paver blocks. After that, a white dressed person came in Innova car and also attacked Madhushankar Varma.

When Varma started crying for help, they all ran away leaving him badly injured. They also robbed Rs 15,000 cash, mobile phone worth of Rs. 12,000 and gold chain worth of Rs. 42,000. However, with help of his nephew, Madhushankar Varma reached the Mahatma Phule Station to register FIR. The then-on-duty police officer sent him ‘alone’ to the KDMC run Rukmini Bai Hospital for a medical report.

Although, Madhushankar Varma was seriously injured, the doctor had sent him back giving first aid. It was only after the interference of Advocate Sanjay Mishra, did the doctor get him admitted. During the treatment, the doctor made four stitches on Madhushankar Varma’s head injuries and also a put a plaster on his left leg as it was fractured.

Speaking to ABI, Madhushankar Varma said, “Doctor asked me to go although I was badly injured. I was bleeding from my head and my leg was badly fractured. The doctor had warned me to get admission on my own risk as he feared that the goons could attack me in the hospital as well”.

Surprisingly enough, a woman Police Sub-Inspector Deepali Wagh had registered a FIR that Madhushankar Varma’s valuables (cash, mobile phone and gold chain) were MISSING. If that wasn’t enough, instead of registering a FIR under section 307 (attempt to murder), Deepali Wagh also registered FIR under poor sections.

A visibly dejected Madhushankar Varma has now vowed stating that “I will approach higher authority soon demanding FIR should be registered under section 307 and also dacoity”.
