SHASHI Tharoor, two times Member of Parliament (MP) from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala is undergoing ayurvedic rejuvenation treatment in Kerala district. Tharoor was asked by Delhi Police to join the probe into the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.
52-year-old Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Shashi Tharoor died in mysterious circumstances in Leela Palace hotel in Delhi on January 17, 2014. Tharoor was then the Minister of State for Human Resource Development in the Manmohan Singh government.
Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi on Wednesday announced that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe afresh the case. Bassi also sent a legal notice to Tharoor to join the probe.
According to media reports, Tharoor is busy finishing his book and undergoing a 14-day general wellness programme for ailments like frozen shoulder and stiffness in Ayurved Health Centre Perumbayil Ayurveda Mana in Kerala.
The Leela Palace Hotel where Sunanda Pushkar was found dead has released a statement.”all 230 surveillance cameras, (10 cameras were on the floor of the incident), were fully operational. Hotel claims that the entire CCTV footage handed over to the police.
