TOP Tennis player Leander Paes on Friday admitted that his former ‘wife’ and cricketer Atul Sharma are in illegal relationship.
According to media reports, on Friday Leander Paes approached Bandra- Kurla Complex (BKC) police station and registered complaint against cricketer Atul Sharma. Paes alleged that his life was under threat from Atul Sharma. Sharma allegedly threatened to kill Paes and his daughter in the Bandra family court premises on October 10.
Sharma allegedly threatened Paes when he (Paes) submitted proof in court of Rhea Pillai and Sharma’s relationship.
Rhea Pillai had approached court and filed a case of domestic violence and harassment against Leander Paes. Pillai had demanded a monthly maintenance of about Rs 4 lakh. But at the last hearing in July, Paes had denied all allegations against him.
Leander Paes and Rhea Pillai have been fighting for the custody of their eight-year-old daughter. Paes had also filed a ‘guardianship petition’ in a family court seeking permanent custody of his daughter.
