HAJI Ali Dargah Trust and ASHRAFI Latif Foundation, Mumbai, jointly celebrated Urs-e-Hazrate Makhdoom Ashraf Jahangir Simnani Rehmtulla Alai on October 30, 2016, at the Haji Ali Dargah. According to Rizwan Coatwala, the acting president of Cutchhi Memon Jamat in Mumbai, the event began with a heartfelt speech by Sufi saints especially invited from Kichhuachha Sharif in Uttar Pradesh. They prayed for peace in Hindustan.
Mufti Nizamuddin threw lights on teen talaq through Quran and Hadith. He also suggested people should avoid teen talaq. Peer Kumail Ashraf gave the audience a spark of energy with his unique style of speech. He prayed for health and wealth for them. Barrister Rafique Dada ended the evening of speeches with inspiring words on the life of Hazrate Makhdoom Ashraf Jahangir Simnani Rehmtulla Alai, whose 630th Urs was celebrated on October 30.
To entertain people a Qawali programme was also arranged. More than 20,000 people from all religions participated in the Urs. Special arrangements were made for all and langar was served at the end. Haji Ali Dargah was lit up by colourful lights, which added to its beauty.
