VIKRANT alias Vicky Sharma, the bodyguard of builder Amit Patil at Dombivli in Thane district, Maharashtra was killed due to similar hair style. The shooters failed to identify among Amit Patil and Vicky Sharma over same hair style, sources said here.
On December 21, 2016 around 2 pm two unknown persons fired on Vicky Sharma and managed to escape from the spot. Vicky Sharma was rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared to death during the treatment.
Vicky Sharma was bodyguard of Dombivli based builder Amit Patil. Amit Patil also runs an NGO called ‘Amit Patil Foundation.’ Patil was waiting for a friend to go for a picnic standing on Aangan Dhaba near his residence Shil-Katai Naka, Dombivli (East). Sharma was talking over mobile phone when suddenly two people came on motorcycle and fired on Sharma from behind. Sources said Patil and Sharma had same hair style and often wearing similar dress. Shooters failed to identify them. Sharma was hit by a bullet in his head from behind.
MNS leaders under scanner
The police said that the exact reason behind firing is yet to be known but Patil’s family alleged on MNS leaders Ramesh and Raju Patil behind the killing. Speaking to media Amit’s father Namdev Patil and brother Pratik Patil blamed on Ramesh and Raju Patil behind the incident. Raju Patil has contested Lok Sabha election in 2014. Amit Patil allegedly has financed Shiv Sena candidate Shrikant Shinde that was reason Raju Patil lost the election. Shrikant Shinde is son of Maharashtra cabinet minister Eknath Shinde. Raju Patil rubbished the allegation.
