THE Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI), Railway Protection Force, Central Railway, Pune for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 2,000/- from the complainant.

The accused identified as K V Ingale. Remember, Ingale was working under the most corrupt Senior Inspector Sandip Khiratkar. Earlier Khiratkar was posted in Mumbai. Earned crore of rupees from hawkers and other activities.

A case was registered U/s 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on a complaint against a Sub-Inspector, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Central Railway, Pune. It was alleged that the Sub-Inspector, demanded a bribe of Rs.2,000/- from the complainant to allow him to carry his business in railway. CBI laid a trap and caught the Sub-Inspector red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.2, 000 from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the office & residential premises of the accused at Pune which led to recovery of documents relating to property and two Bank accounts.
