Court-CLERK-cum-BJP-leader turns DEVELOPER, cheats ex-ARMY man

A court clerk who is also Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and now has turned a developer has cheated an ex-army man at Nalasopara. A cheating FIR has been registered against the clerk, but still the BJP party thought it proper to reward him with the post of president of Vasai-Virar ward Number -47.

The accused was identified as Kamlakar Bhagoji Fatkare. He is a resident of Bhashkar Complex, Vijay Nagar, Nalasopara (East). He claims he works as a clerk in the Bandra court. In 2010 he met Vinayak Govind Jagtap. The 69-year-old Jagtap is a resident of the same building and is retired from the army. He is also handicapped in the left hand. Fatkare told Jagtap that he was developing a chawl at Goregaon under SRA scheme. On Fatkare’s request Jagtap paid Rs 4.20 lakh through cheques. Fatkare did not give any receipt and even in agreement documents he did not mention the paid amount.

In January 2011, Jagtap paid last installment and Fatkare’s behaviour changed. He started avoiding phone calls made by Jagtap. “Fatkare threatened me that he will not return the money and not give me any room. He said I could do what I want,” said Jagtap. The area residents told Jagtap that Fatkare is not a good man. He is a cheater. The harassed Jagtap in 2015 complained to the Tulinj police station. On efforts of Nilesh Bhatt, President Gouvansh Raksha Samiti, on July 2, 2016, an FIR (copy with ABI) was registered against Fatkare under section 420 of the IPC at Tulinj police station. After registering FIR Tulinj police forgot to take action. Not only this, the BJP local body on July 9, 2016, awarded Fatkare by appointing him as president of ward number-47.

When this reporter contacted Fatkare for comment he threatened that he would file a defamation suit against him. Also, when Fatkare heard about the FIR against him he threatened to file a defamation suit against the Tulinj police and Jagtap. Not enough, his brother Bharat Fatkare, who claimed to be a journalist, also threatened Jagtap to be ready for trouble if he demanded his money back.

Fatkare always threatens people, saying, “Tumko nahin maloom main court me kaam karta hoon. Main kisi se bhi nahin darta. Mere se panga lena kisi ko bhi bhari padega.”
