THE Malwani police in Mumbai on Sunday arrested former Bogg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan for allegedly sending lewd messages to a woman. An FIR was registered against Khan on November 17 into the matter.
Police arrested Khan on Sunday around 4am from his Yari Road, Versoa residence. He was arrested under 66-E of Information Technology (IT) act apart from sections 509 (word, gesture, act to outrage modesty of women), 504 (intentional insult) of the Indian Penal Code.
The complainant is involved in boutique business. She and Ajaz Khan befriended on social networking site Facebook. Khan sent obscene photograph and SMSs to her.

Earlier in the month of June this year a model Aishwarya Choubey (25) had approached Versova police complaining against Khan. She submitted the WhatsApp chat to police which contained sexually intimating conversation. Aishwarya also alleged that Ajaz invited her in a Juhu hotel and sent explicit pictures.
Khan commenced his career in modeling. He starred in movies such as Rakta Charitra and Allah Ke Banday and acted in several television daily soaps including Rahe Tera Aashirwaad and Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. Khan finished third position in reality show Bigg Boss 7. Initially in the show, he featured in many feuds with his fellow contestant Armaan Kohli, but later they buried their hatred and were seen behaving in a friendly way with each other.
He also appeared on the TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil.
His other films include Lakeer ka Fakeer and the Indian films Dookudu and Naayak. He has appeared in an Academy Awards promotion commercial, in which he plays a convict who successfully escapes from prison to watch the live telecast of the Oscars.
