THE GREAT Sakinaka police in Mumbai have registered a Non Cognizable (NC) offence against OPA Bar & Café owners for threatening a social activist Amit Tiwari. The bar owners threatened Tiwari in name of Dawood Ibrahim asking him to withdraw a complaint else face the consequences claiming  they have close relation with the global terrorist.

On September 29, 2017 Sakinaka police registered NC (copy with ABI) against Gaurav Shetty, Satish Shetty, Parbat Shetty and Prashant Sharma. All accused have been shown partners in OPA Bar & Café and Peninsula Grand Hotel, Sakinaka. According to a complaint in April 2017 they called Amit Tiwari at Peninsula Grand Hotel. First they offered him bribe to withdraw the complaint. Later, they abused and threatened him in name of Dawood Ibrahim and asked to withdraw the complaint and never file any RTI application against OPA Bar & Café. All the time during their conversation Parbat Shetty claimed he and Satish Shetty, Karunakar Shetty have closed relation with Dawood, Chhota Shakeel and Chhota Rajan.

Amit Tiwari had sought information from Sakinaka Police under Right to Information (copy with ABI) about illegalities in OPA Bar & Café. The reply had shocked him as OPA Bar and Caffè does not possess several permissions and licenses like public programme licence, performance licence, fire brigade NOC and entertainment licence IPRS. In turn the establishment runs till 6 am without any obstacles. On Tuesday there is MODEL night special. Youngsters enjoying music and dance with cigarettes, liquor, drugs and Russian girls.

ABI’s (Akela Bureau of Investigation) article on OPA’s illegalities hurt the Shettys. They planned to kill ABI editor Akela and threatened Amit Tiwari. Prashant Sharma who claimed he is partner in Peninsula Grand Hotel also vacated canteen run by Amit Tiwari in Sharma’s Powai College.

Planning to kill journalist Akela and threatening Tiwari is very serious in nature but Sakinaka police registered NC only. Shetty’s claims come true that no one can touch him as few IAS, IPS, senior cops, bureaucrats, BMC officials, politicians like Rahul Shewale, Rajhans Singh, Naseem Khan are in their pockets.

“I will soon approach Bombay High Court against Commissioner of Police Datta Padsalgikar, Deven Bharti (Joint Commissioner of police, L&O) and DCP Navin Reddy for not registering FIR against Shettys,” said Amit Tiwari.
