A Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader from Ulhasnagar, who was preparing to contest the upcoming Municipal elections, has been booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl. The victim has even delivered a baby boy before being married with the accused leader.
The NCP leader has been identified as Roshan Valecha. He is resident of Ulhasnagar-5 and a supplier of building materials by profession. Most importantly, Valecha happens to be a member of TEAM Omie Kalani. For the uninitiated, Omie Kalani is son of Suresh Budharmal Kalani alias Pappu Kalani, a former gangster Pappu Kalani, who is currently cooling his heels in Pune jail on charges of murder. Omie Kalani is following his father’s footsteps. On December 10, 2016, the Hill Line Police registered FIR against Roshan Valecha. He has been absconding since then.
According to the police, Valecha and his wife were living separately due to some dispute in 2013. Giving this as a reason, Valecha had developed physical relations with a girl living in same locality in 2014. He had also promised to marry her. In 2015, the girl gave a birth of baby boy. The girl started requesting him to marry her, but, Valecha being as member of Kalani gang, reportedly refused to do so.
Instead, Valecha told the girl, “Do what you want”. Interestingly, instead of giving the father’s name of own to his newly born son, Valecha gave his brother’s name to the child as the father. If all these were not torturous enough, he had even abused, threatened, and had also beaten the young unwed mother from time to time and finally refused to marry her. Later, Valecha started living with his first wife.
Left with no option, the young girl then approached the Hill Line police station and registered an FIR against Valecha, who is reportedly absconding now. Perhaps police will also book Valecha under section 307 (attempt to murder).
