MUMBAI Suburban Railway witnessed of accidents and passenger not gets medical help during Golden Hours. Western Railway spent Rs 2.22 crores on Emergency Medical Rooms (EMR) in last 1 year, its reveals in a query filed by RTI Activist Anil Galgali. Though Central Railway set up Rs 1 clinics without spending any amount.

Galgali ask the various information regarding EMR from Western Railway. Western Railway Chief Medical Officer Dr G K Singh informed Galgali that during the period from February 2016 to January 2017, WR spend 2 Cr 21 lakhs 71 thousand and 145 Rupees on EMR. 2 Year’s EMR contract awarded to Principal Securities and Elid Service’s. No License Fees charge to these contractors. Contractor deposited Rs 4,60,140 and pay Rs 30,08,358/- for Bond of Performance Guarantee {( BPG ). WR open EMR at 10 Railway Station. They set up EMR at Churchget, Mumbai Central, Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon, Kandivali, Borivali, Vasai Road, Virar and Palghar.

Anil Galgali welcome the move of WR and advice that Central Railway also set up EMR on 1 rupees Clinic Method without spending single rupees which should also adopt by WR to Save exchequer Money.
