AIR India has again cancelled bookings made by Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad. This is the seventh attempt on the part of the Sena MP to book a flight on Air India, which barred him from flying after he assaulted the airline’s staffer.

Ravindra Gaikwad has also made an attempt each to book an IndiGo flight as well as a SpiceJet flight since the flying ban on him by all domestic carriers was put in place.

According to media reports, Ravindra Gaikwad tried booking a Delhi-Mumbai ticket for April 17 and a Mumbai-Delhi flight for April 24 at 5 am today. Both tickets have been rejected by the airline.

There was an attempt to book a ticket at 5 am on Friday through AI Web portal. The reservations were being made for March 17 for travel from Delhi to Mumbai and for 24 March from Mumbai to Delhi. The ticket was being booked under the name ‘Ravindra Gaikwad’ and AI staffer were alerted through tracker.

Ravindra Gaikwad offered a letter of ‘regret’ to Lok Sabha for assaulting an Air India staffer. However, an association of airlines cabin crew has refused to ‘accept him back on flight’ till he apologises to Air India.

Now that the Hon’ MP can travel at will, I dread to think how he would now be behaving with his father and mother. They must be a worried lot.
