LALKRISHNA Advani very senior BJP leader may be the NDA chairman. He refused the offer of BJP President Rajnath Singh’s for Lok Sabha speaker, media reports.
Sources said BJP party leaders are very sure for government formation in centre.
On Thursday, a day before of the counting of votes for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls Rajnath Singh and Uma Bharti met to Advani and offered for Lok Sabha speaker post but Advani rejected their proposal stating he is reportedly interested in a political role. Advani maybe the NDA chairman. Advani was the Deputy PM in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
Former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari met RSS leaders at the Sangh office in Jhandewalan and senior BJP and RSS leaders met to Rajnath Singh at his residence. RSS leaders Suresh Soni, Ram Lal, Saudan Singh, V Sathis and Narendra Modi’s close aide and party general secretary Amit Shah attended the meetings.
Points were also raised in meeting about the role of Murli Manohar Joshi and Sushma Swaraj. Sushma is unhappy over projection of Modi as prime ministerial candidate. She and Joshi to be playing the ‘wait-and-watch’ game.
BJP leaders offered that if Advani become the Speaker, then Swaraj and Joshi could be part of Modi’s cabinet.
