A seven-year-old schoolgirl was raped by a 35-year-old school teacher in school bus in Ambernath area of Thane district. The police have arrested the accused Suraj Bharati (35).
According to police, the incident happened around 11.45 in the morning when the minor girl, a student of II-Std, left the school building and sat in the bus. The 35-year-old accused teacher Bharati was already in bus. He took advantage of the situation and raped the girl.
On first day the girl not tells about the incident to her parents. On second day when she felt pain told to the parents. The parents approached Ambernath police station and lodged an FIR against Bharati. Police then arrested the accused.
Bharati is teacher in Deccan English school, Ambernath and resident of Omkar residency, Shivganga Nagar, Ambernath (east). Police arrested him from his residence.
Meanwhile, police is investigating the matter and is also trying to find if the accused has committed such acts with other girls in the past.
