DHARU Hema Bharmal, a supply inspector in Tehsil Office, Khed at Pune was arrested along with aide Ankush Maruti Shinde (35), special executive officer (SEO) Amboli, Pune and Raju Khandge (not arrested yet) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 3,000 by Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB).

According to the press note issued by ACB, Pune the accused Ankush Shinde demanded a bribe of Rs. 5,000 to issue a ration card in the name of the complainant. The complainant approached ACB and registered a complaint against Shinde. On May 23, 2014 on the basis of the complaint set a trap at the canteen of ST Stand of Khed and arrested Shinde and Dharu for accepting a bribe of Rs. 3,000. The ACB could not arrest Khandge the 3rd accused in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is in process.
