THE Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Mumbai has arrested Indian Mujahideen (IM) active member Abdul Matin Fakki from Goa. Fakki is very close to IM co-founder and Mumbai blast mastermind Yasin Bhatkal.

Maharashtra ATS chief Himanshu Roy on Wednesday informed media about arrest of Fakki. He was arrested from Dabolin airport Goa, last night.

Fakki had allegedly passed money to Bhatkal through the hawala network to carry out the 13/7/ 2011serials blasts in Mumbai. 26 people were killed in the serial blasts.

Mohammed Ahmed Sidibapa alias Yasin Bhatkal was arrested on the India-Nepal border near Motihari in Bihar on 28 August 2013 by Indian investigative agencies. A native of Bhatkal village of Udupi district in North Karnataka, is accused of carrying out terror attacks in Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bangalore and Hyderabad to avenge the 2002 Godhra riots.
