THE Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Guna-Shivpuri Lok Sabha seat, Shailendra Kushwaha is facing serious charges like rape. The Kampu police have included his name in the FIR registered in connection with alleged gang-rape, last year.
According to police a 30-year-old woman in her statement alleged that Kushwaha and three other AAP office bearers allegedly raped thrice her.
The incident took place between December 2012 and March 2013.
“We have registered an FIR against two persons added the names of remaining two including Kushwaha,” said Adarsh Katiyar, Inspector General (IG) Gwalior.
The other three accused identified as Gwalior district’s AAP convener Himanshu Kulshreshta, district secretary Abhijit Wagh and district spokesperson Manuraj Saxena.
Akshay Hunka, AAP’s Madhya Pradesh unit secretary termed the issue as “politically motivated.”
