The Nasik unit of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Sahebrao Babaji Velge a program assistant, Continuous Education Department, Ahmednagar Zilla Parishad for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000.

According to the press note issued by the ACB, the complainant approached the accused to appoint him as a Sepoy in the Mahatma Phule Ashram a Tribal School, in Ahmednagar. Velge get ready to appoint him but demanded Rs. 3,50,000 as a bribe and Rs. 50,000 as token money to begin the procedure. The complainant approached ACB and registered FIR against Belge. On April 21, ACB laid a trap and arrested Velge around 8.15 pm at hotel Garva, attached to the Nagar- Aurangabad road while accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000.

The matter was invested under the guidance of  Dr. Shashikant Mahavarkar, assistant commissioner of police and B S Jadhav,  additional superintendent of police by A R Durve, Rajendra Panditrao Malvi, V. D. Mudtak, Vasant Vahal, and Sripad Singh Thakur and others of ACB, Ahmednagar.
