Hingoli Tehsil Talathi Vitthal Rama Suryavanshi and his associate have been arrested by the Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,000.

According to press note issued by ACB, the complainant sold his grandfather’s one acre agricultural land in Mauja Suladari (Survey No.: 115). As per the land transfer rules the complainant approached Suryavanshi for transferring the Saat-Baraa Utara on the name of the buyer. Suryavanshi demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,000 and asked the complainant to deliver the bribe amount to a private person Deepak Pandit.

On April 22, Pandit was arrested by the ACB around 9.45am while accepting the bribe amount at Mauja Suldari, on the road opposite the Grampanchayat leading to Belkheda. Later ACB arrested to Suryavanshi into the matter.

The investigation was carried by Inspector V P Kale along with policemen Sheikh Shamim, Sheikh Umar, Sanjay Kamble, Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Sheikh Jameer, Ravikumar Swami, Chandrakant Paratkar and Nagnath Ghuge under the guidance of Superintendent of Police N V Deshmukh and N. J. Sheikh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB, Hingoli.
