EVERGREEN controversial Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi on Saturday has been convicted by Mumbai’s Andheri court in an assault case. He was sentenced to one-year simple imprisonment and fined of Rs 20,000. According to media reports, Metropolitan Magistrate Amitabh Panchbhai of Andheri court sentenced the actor to jail for one year and slapped a fine of Rs 20,000.
However, the court has now granted him immediate bail of Rs.12,000 and also he gets one month to appeal in higher court. Pancholi had been booked – but not arrested yet – for attacking his neighbour Pratik Pasrani and reportedly fractured his nose at their building in 2005 over car parking issue.
The Versoa police initially registered a non-cognizable (NC) case but the medical examination revealed that Pasrani’s nose was broken, so the police registered a case of grievous hurt and criminal intimidation.

51-years-old Nirmal Pancholi alias Aditya Pancholi is an Indian film actor, producer and playback singer. Pancholi’s name has also cropped up in other assault cases and controversies.
1-His ex girlfriend Pooja Bedi had also accused him of raping her minor maid.
2-He was in much controversy after alleged affair with actress Kangana Ranaut.
3-He allegedly smashed the head of bouncer Mandar Patole with his mobile handset in Trilogy pub in Hotel Sea Princess on Juhu Tara Road. He was arrested.
4-He himself, his son Suraj and wife Zarina Wahab were booked by police on charges of allegedly abetting the suicide of Bollywood actress Nafisa alias Jiah Khan.
5- Pancholi assaulted his 55-year-old neighbour and educationist Bhargav Patel over parking space.
