THE MRA Marg police in South Mumbai has booked an advocate for allegedly molesting a woman advocate for the second time. The accused advocate passed lewd remarks on woman advocate stating ‘you will be raped soon.’
The accused advocate identified as Charanjitsingh Chanderpal Gehi alias Chander Kumar. Chanderpal, a resident of Tardeo in Central Mumbai practices in the Bombay High Court.
On May 8, 2015 MRA Marg police registered FIR (copy available with ABI) under sections 354 (A) (D), 509 and 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC). Assistant Police Inspector (API) Kranti Patil is investigating the matter.
According to FIR on February 23, 2015 around 4.30pm 30-year-old victim, a resident of Ghatkopar was passing with few colleagues (female advocates) and her senior advocate Mahesh Vaswani near Khyber restaurant, Fort. Chanderpal met victim and said “you all are cheap women and will be raped soon.” Initially victim avoided Chanderpal as he is infamous as “Pagal Vakil” in High Court. But after some times he again said, “Tum Sab Ke Upar Rape Hone Wala Hai.” Chanderpal also threatened that if victim failed to withdraw the earlier complaint registered by her at Azad Maidan Police Station, by saying that “Tum Zindagi Bhar Meri Galiyaan Khati Rahogi Aur Har Court Me Main Tumhe Galiyaan Deta Rahunga. “
As victim was very busy, she complained in writing against Chanderpal on March 16, 2015. On basis of application-after investigation-on February 23 police registered FIR against Chanderpal.
“We have registered FIR against Chanderpal. Matter is under investigation, “said Kranti Patil.

In year 2010 Azad Maidan police has registered FIR (CR No. 150/ 2010, under sections 509 of IPC) against Chanderpal. The complainant is same victim.
On December 20, 2010 Chanderpal met victim near court room no 40 in Bombay High Court. Chanderpal allegedly said, “Sab Bhikhari Hain, Katora Lekar Bheekh Mangenge.” Chanderpal also passed remarks on her senior – “Vaswani Randi Ko Lekar Ghoomta Hai.”
Note : ABI is avoiding taking quote of Chanderpal as he misbehaves with reporters, makes false allegations and even registers false complaints in police station.
Personal view based on first hand experience dealing with him. Yeah aadmi full “pagal wakil” hain. Stay away if smooth delivery of your case is important.
