Dumped woman says sex maniac husband once even forced her to abort to escape no-third-child rule

A Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) politician from South Mumbai is learnt to have left his second wife and daughter to contest the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election. Earlier, he even forced his second wife to undergo an abortion so that he would not have a third child and lose the opportunity to be elected corporator.
On March 11, 2016, Aamna Dawoodani (30) registered an FIR (copy with ABI) under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC against her husband Afzal Dawoodani (35) and his other wife, wife Nasten Dawoodani (31), at the Byculla police station. Aamna, the second wife of Afzal Dawoodani, is now living alone with her daughter in Mazgaon.
On March 10, around 11am Aamna was taking change from Green Field Hotel, Byculla, to pay her taxi fare. Afzal and Nasten were already present there. They allegedly abused her in filthy language and assaulted her. Aamna approached the Byculla police station, where the officers insulted her and refused to register her complaint. Aamna contacted the woman police helpline number 103 and late at night the police registered the FIR.
According to Aamna, she and Afzal married seven years ago in presence of a Qazi. Afzal was already married with Nasten and had two children. Afzal always suggested that Aamna keep away from his parents. Afzal runs a catering and decoration business. He is also Maharashtra State Vice President of the BJP Vahtuk Sanghatana.
Speaking to ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation), Aamna said that Afzal Dawoodani left her and their daughter so that he would be able to contest the BMC election. He always said that if it is established that he has a third child, he cannot contest the election. In 2006, he forced Aamna to abort a child in Dawood Nursing Home, Mazgaon. Dr Mamta Toraskar aborted the child.
Aamna claims Afzal is a “priest of lust” and had raped her on several occasions, even when she was pregnant and very close to delivery. Once he raped her when she was sick and she said her condition worsened, leading to her having to be admitted to Habib Hospital. In 2014, Afzal had contested the assembly election and she said he forcibly took Rs 5 lakh from her.
“Afzal havas ka pujari hai. Ek baar usne mere saath sex kiya tha jab main delivery ke kareeb thi. Ek baar sex kiya jab main beemar thi aur mujhe hospital mein admit hona pada tha. Wo ab mujhse kahta hai ki agar logon ko maloom pad gaya ki use teen santan hai to woh BMC election nahin ladh payega,” said Aamna.
Despite repeated attempts, Dawaadani was not available for comment. He not attended all calls from ABI.
