THE Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Mumbai on Wednesday has registered a case related to the death of bollywood actress Jiah Khan. CBI has taken up the investigation of the case which was earlier registered by Juhu police in Mumbai.
According to CBI spokesperson on the orders of the High Court of Judicature at Bombay passed in criminal writ petition (No.919/2014) filed by the mother of Jiah Khan, transferring the investigation of CR.No.204/2013 under section 306 of IPC registered in Juhu police station, Mumbai.
Juhu police has already filed a charge sheet on January 11, 2014 against Suraj Pancholi son of actor Aditya Pancholi and boyfriend of Jiah Khan under section 306 of IPC.
The Bombay High Court has directed to the CBI “to consider whether this is a case of suicidal or homicidal death. If it comes to a conclusion, that it is a homicidal death then, further investigation be made to find out who is the perpetrator of the crime and accordingly action be taken.”
