Haseena Parkar, well-known as Haseena Aapa, fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister died on Sunday due to heart attack, confirmed police.

Speaking to ABI, additional commissioner of police, Krishna Prakash confirmed about death of Haseena. On Sunday, around 2.45 pm she was admitted in Habib hospital at Dongri in South Mumbai, where Dr Husnain Patel declared her dead around 3.15 pm.

Haseena, 54, a resident of Gordon Hall apartment in Nagpada was widow as her husband Ismail Parkar was shot dead by the Arun Gawli gang in 1991.

Just as Dawood had fled India in the mid-1980s, Haseena become ‘underworld queen’ and caretaker of his business in Mumbai. She was involved in almost every business of acquiring overseas rights of Bollywood films, extortion, hawala rackets, Mumbai’s famous cable wars and settling disputes in return for hefty fees.

Sources said Dawood has left behind around 54 benami properties that Haseena manages. She is believed to own six more hotels in South Mumbai.
