AN Ulhasnagar based hotel owner Gobindram Panjumal Kukreja adopted a ROYAL idea to keep away his renters away from the hotel business. He hired a woman for this. The woman first tried to register an FIR for molestation at Ulhasnagar against the renter and later did the same against another partner in Mumbai. On December 6, 2017 Divakar Vashu Shetty filed a complaint (copy with ABI) demanding action under section 182 of IPC against woman Akshata Arvind Uttekar and Mitul Poddar.
According to incident report, Gobind Kukreja runs a hotel by name M/S. Royal Ice Cream (Royal Fine Dine) at Shivaji Chowk, Ulhasnagar-3, District -Thane. Kukreja (67) has given this hotel to Divakar Shetty for running the hotel for five years (from December 25, 2014 to December 25, 2019) at rent of Rs 1,00,000 per month for first three years, and thereafter Rs 1,10,000 for remaining two years along with security deposit of Rs 15,00,000. Divakar Shetty also spent Rs 50, 00,000 on renovation, furniture and fixtures. When hotel started running and generating good income, Kukreja had a change of heart and he started threatening Shetty to vacate the hotel, without refunding security deposit and renovation expenses. Naturally, Divakar Shetty refused to do the same.
When Gobindram failed to get hotel vacated using his pressure tactics, he adopted an ULHASNAGAR method on Divakar Shetty. Businessmen in Ulhasnagar are notorious for using this method against their rivals and enemies. Kukreja arranged Akshata Uttekar, a lady, resident of Kolsewadi in Kalyan (East) to carry out this plan. On November 25, 2017 around 8pm Akshata visited the hotel. Divakar Shetty (53) was present and was manning the cash counter. Akshata tried to deliver a legal notice sent by Mitul Poddar. “Mitul Poddar ne bheja hai, is notice pe sign karo,” Akshata said to Divakar. Mitul Poddar is agent (Dalal) in the matter. Divakar refused to accept the notice as it was in the name of his managing partner Jagdish Shridhar Shetty. Akshata left the hotel.
Divakar is resident of Ambernath. He is aware of this shady business tactic used by businessmen in the area. He smelled something fishy. He immediately informed a police officer about “Akshata Episode.” Around 15 minutes later two constables appeared in hotel and asked Divakar to come to Central police station as Akshata has complained against him. Divakar was informed in police station that Akshata was trying to register a molestation FIR against him. Divakar narrated entire incident and promised to produce CCTV footage. Police registered NC against Divakar for abusing, assault and threat to life.
Divakar Shetty gave a written application against Akshata for misleading the police. He also mentioned/informed/ warned in application (copy with ABI) that Akshata may register false FIR of rape, molestation and POSCO act against his managing partner Jagdish Shetty. There are many chances to file zero FIR in different police stations. Interestingly, the same thing happened. On December 12, 2017 Akshata reached Jagdish Shetty’s residence at Marol Naka, Mumbai. Jagdish was not present. Akshata tried to serve legal notice to his sister in law which she refused to accept. A little later Akshata registered NC at Powai police station that Jagdish abused, assaulted and threatened her. “Main ghar par nahin tha. Akshata meri wife se mili thi lekin usne mere khilaf NC likhwa di ki maine use gali di, mara aur dhamki di,” said Jagdish.
Jagdish (40) narrated entire incident to Powai police and showed application that was submitted in advanced to Central police in Ulhasnagar. Powai police registered cross NC against Akshata. After the Central police station and Powai police station incident Akshata visited Royal Hotel thrice and had Ice Cream with Gobindram.
Jagdish Shetty demands that extortion FIR should be also registered against Mitul Poddar who tried to extort Rs 5, 00,000 from him in the matter. Mitul ordered that money should be deposited in his NGO Sangharsh Welfare Association’s account.
