THE model, who has registered FIR of rape against India Police Service (IPS) officer, Maharashtra cadre Sunil Paraskar on Thursday withdrew her application seeking cancellation of his pre-arrest bail. Judge Vrushali Joshi allowed the victim to withdraw the application.
Sunil Paraskar is a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in Maharashtra police.
Chief Public Prosecutor (C-PP) Kalpana Chavan on Thursday told media that the model (victim) withdrew the cancellation application. The model had filed after her former lawyer was allegedly threatened by a person purportedly sent by Sunil Paraskar.
57-year-old Sunil Paraskar moved the court for anticipatory bail after the 25-year-old Mumbai based model, registered FIR against him at Malawani police station for rape in July. Model alleges that Paraskar , whom she had met first in 2012 in connection with a case, molested and sexually assaulted her on two occasions in December 2013.
On August 12, 2014 the court granted anticipatory bail to Paraskar.
