AN INDIAN Navy captain is learnt to have frequently described a woman security guard as “mast maal”. He is also said to have ordered she be brought in civilian dress. The security officer refused to obey his order and now an inquiry is on in the matter. The accused captain was identified as S. S. Sandhu, DGM (L&W). The incident took place on September 10, 2016, at NCH Colony, Kanjur Marg (West), Mumbai.
The day was Saturday. Captain S. S. Sandhu visited the Naval dockyard colony around 2pm. First he went to the administration office and later to the security office. Sitting at the security office, first he ordered the CCTV camera to be switched off. The security officer followed his order and stopped the functioning of the CCTV camera. Sandhu also asked security officer to arrange for a drink. The security officer refused, as it was against the Navy rule to drink alcohol in the security office.
After the security officer refused to arrange the alcohol, market in-charge Kamal alias K.J. Mishra arranged the same. They drank the alcohol sitting in the car. After drinking Sandhu again went to the security office and ordered for non-vegetarian food and dal-rice. A woman security guard went to serve him inside the office. After finishing the lunch Sandhu called the security officer. Appreciating him he said, “Tumne bahut badhiya maal rakha hua hai. Isse civil dress me mere saath chalne ko bolo.” The shocked security officer refused to do so. Angry Sandhu told him that it is necessary for him. “Apka kaam thik nahi. Birendra badhiya intezaam karta hain. Mujhe sex lagta hi hai. Agli baar yaad rakhna,” he said.
Birendra Kumar is Administrative officer and security incharge of Naval Civilian Housing Colony, Ulhasnagar.
Sandhu’s demand matter very soon spread among the colony residents. The matter also reached ASD Sanjeev Kale. Kale asked GM HR Vivek Agrawal to conduct an inquiry. Sources said an inquiry was on and a few security officers’ statements had been recorded. But there is little chance of the victim getting justice as Sandhu and investigation officer Vivek Agrawal are close to each other. There is more chance that Sandhu will get clean chit. Sandhu too claims that 100 percent there will be nothing against him.
A similar incident happened a few months back when the then security in charge of NCH Colony, Mr. Chiman Lamba was accused for doing objectionable things in his office with a lady security guard. The matter was hushed up quickly. After a few days, Security Incharge Mr. Chiman Lamba was demoted to Assistant Security Incharge.
ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation) tried to reach admiral, GM HR Vivek Agrawal and public relations officer (PRO) Rahul Sinha but failed as they did not respond to calls and text messages. PRO Sinha did not respond to even an email. S S Sandhu replied to ABI’s text message and said, “This is not true.” On second day Sandhu called and presented himself as a most innocent person. He indirectly threatened legal action against ABI.

Please verify the credibility of the post before writing such comments. This site appears to be doing false propaganda to demoralise forces in wake of imminent action against Pakistan. This appears to be a true Pakistani site, better to stay away and not fall prey.
This is a defamatory post – could be the handiwork of ISI. Such a thing is impossible. No Naval officer would ever dine at this place leave alone drink.
But the inquiry against him is ordered by the Admiral Superintendent of Indian Navy. You meant to say he is an agent of ISI ?

It is good to see that you are defending yourself. At the same time why has Navy not commented on this. Also looking and reading at the article, it is very clear that all the evidence will be in the CC Cameras. If the cameras were indeed shut off on the dates and times that you were officially there, it means that something is definitely fishy from your end as well. Besides are you an Ambani or a Politician? Why would a news site blackmail you? Let the action take its own course I would suggest.

ABI news this is not correct. U use worlds like learnt, said, alleged, accused etc to tarnish image of an honest person knowing very well how in this day of Facebook and WhatsApp things spread. This inspite of me telling U that U R carrying a wrong story. That’s very sad for an honest person with a family in his own country. Shame on U. That is something that needs to be investigated-who has given ABInet this picture. And ABInet, how have you published all details of the officer AND his photo without verifying whether the allegations are true or not. Shame on you! That is why people call your type Press-titues.
It’s an effort to defame and demoralise serving soldiers and carry out false propaganda. This site seems to be working for Pakistan and needs to be taken to task. It’s an effort to Malign image of good officers and I urge all to stay away from this site. I am sure some legal action would be initiated against this site under the IT act.
Despite the assurances of the Captain in the comments section, I am very surprised that the Navy has not come out in defence of their own Captain. Typically Naval and Army Staff and seniors immediately come in defence of their staff. Besides the captain is a High Ranking official. So if the navy is not coming in his defence, there must definitely be some truth to it. Just because he is a naval officer does not mean that he is above the law.
Just to let you no any allegation under investigation or subjudice is not commented upon by any authority. As such the Defence authorities would care two hoots about sites like Abhinet who appear to be tarnishing image of soldiers in the face of war…….very sad for the govt to have not cracked on this site till now.
I am surprised by how many people here are automatically assuming that the Captain is Not Guilty. I mean just because he is in the Navy? Have naval officers not been caught in sex scandals before?
What if this fellow actually harassed the 2 female employees. Think about their plight also for some time. Let there be a proper investigation in this matter instead of jumping to conclusions.
Shruti, no one has the right to carry out social media trial. Today the soldiers are fighting across the border and it is unfortunate that they have to go through this just because of a suspicious site like Abhinet and people like u following them blindly. Meher the true soldiers fight on and across the border and we salute them. But Officials like S S Sandhu are not among them and you can clearly see the type of activities he has indulged in. He has been busy drinking while on duty and also molesting innocent women. Wait and see we will expose his true face to the world very soon.
If the matter is sub judice, let it take it’s course, why do a social media trial…….

The fact is that a Naval Captain is accused without a shred of proof …and using a legit photo form some function this is spread across. The reply being that “File a case if you want:”, knowing fully that his Service and finances will constrain him from doing anything. A shameful act. LRP, I am sure that you are not aware of ABI or that you haven’t read ABI News carefully. ABI does not care about the so called Dadas, Bhais, Underworld, Police, CBI or ministers. If you have any exposure to any of those elements, forward them to us and we will surely publish that as well.
Then you should know that there is a dockyard mafia that regularly tries to put pressure on officers, gets them transferred and their careers ruined.
