A 12 day ‘Sea attachment Training’ camp for NCC cadets is being conducted by NCC Directorate Maharashtra. The opening ceremony of the camp was held onboard INS Betwa on June 3, 2014, attended by Major General Subodh Kumar, Additional Director General, NCC Maharashtra and senior Naval officers.

NCC Directorate Maharashtra is conducting ‘Sea Attachment Training’ for NCC Cadets from all over India with the assistance of Western Naval Command. Over 90 cadets from different states such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Goa are attending the camp providing a unique opportunity to the youth on national integration and exposure to Naval customs and traditions.

The camp will be conducted over a period of 12 days including visit and stay onboard IN Ships Viraat, Betwa, Talwar and Trikand. The cadets will also sail onboard the ships as a part of training.

The Maharashtra NCC Directorate is the proud recipient of the Prime Minister’s Banner for best directorate of the country for the fifth consecutive time in 2014. It has also been adjudged the Best All India NCC Directorate on seventeen occasions out of twenty three.
