THE Ulhasnagar crime branch has claimed to solved the murder case of former Shiv Sena corporator from Badlapur Mohan Ramchandra Raut. The police have arrested five accused in the matter. Shockingly one of the accused Yogesh Raut is the vice president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from Badlapur city.

Addressing to media, additional commissioner of police Ravindra Singhal, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Vasant Jadhav, assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Mahesh Chimte, senior inspector of police Ulhasnagar Uttamrao Tangde and senior inspector of police Kalyan crime branch Mangesh Sawant told that the accused identified as Chandrakant Balaram Mhasakar aka Pintya,Gangaram AtmaramĀ  Linge aka Gangya ,Nilesh Bapu Jadhav aka Nilya, Ajay Gajanand Guruv aka Ajya and the mastermind Yogesh Narayan Raut. Pintya, Nilya and Raut are a resident of Badlapur while Gangya is Ambarnath resident andĀ  Ajay resides in Kalwa, Thane.

On 23 may, 2014 around 11.30 am Raut was killed by these accused. He was sitting at his office in Katrap Village, Badlapur. These alleged assailants fired 12 bullets. Four bullets hit Raut in the chest and he succumbed to his injuries later in the day.

According to police Mohan Raut was a building material supplier. One of the accused Yogesh Raut was involved in real estate business, because of which both were competitors. The police said that Yogesh Raut was himself attacked on March 18 at Gandhi Chowk in Balapur. Four accused had been arrested by the police. Yogesh Raut suspected that Mohan Raut was helping them get a bail. Yogesh Raut feared that if they succeed in getting bail they will kill him. For this Yogesh Raut planned to kill Mohan Raut.

Police has also mentioned the name of as accused of NCP MLA Kishan Kathore but police gave him clean chit in the matter.
