On Saturday, the Pakistani journalist, news anchor, terrorism expert, and security analyst, who currently hosts the political talk show Capital Talk on Geo TV and also writes columns for Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, and English newspapers, was shot at Karachi, according to reports reaching Mumbai.
The media fraternity in Mumbai and across India feels that it is a dastardly attack attempting to silence people who stand for pluralism.
In March last week, another senior journalist and anchor Raza Rumi, was attacked in Lahore, in which his driver lost his life.
