THE Congress MLA from Sardarshahar constituency in Rajasthan Bhanwar Lal Sharma says Rahul Gandhi as ‘MD of a team of jokers’. As expected, Sharma was on Sunday suspended from the party.
T H Mustafa, a Congress leader from Kerala, was also suspended on Thursday for his anti-Rahul remark.
Speaking to media on Saturday Sharma had attacked on the leadership of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, saying he was directionless. Rahul is surrounded by advisers who lack political understanding. The people who are around him (Rahul) are jokers and Rahul is the MD of a team of jokers.
“Rahul Gandhi is enjoying authority as he belongs to the Gandhi family. He has not come through a democratic process. Democratic system should be there and nobody should be imposed. Party leaders should think beyond Priyanka and Rahul. Rahul is an ‘MD of the Congressi Circus and he is directionless and has no policy,” Sharma had said.
Mustafa, a five-time Congress MLA from Kerala also called for the removal of Rahul from all party posts. During the Lok Sabha campaign Mustafa remarked on Rahul as “acting like a joker” would not help in elections.
